CEP Goals
2025-2026

PRIORITY 1 – ALL STUDENTS LEARN TO READ WELL

​

  • By June, 2026, literacy for all students will improve, as measured by a 10% increase, from 39% to 49%, of the percentage of students scoring at or above proficiency level 3 or 4 on the NYS ELA exam results.
     

  • By June, 2026, literacy for all students will improve, as measured by a 10% increase from 35% to 45% of percentage of students scoring at or above benchmark on the Acadience screener.

PRIORITY 2 – ALL STUDENTS ARE PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY SAFE 

​

  • By June 2026, teachers will be consistent in implementing a researched based approved SEL program inside of the classroom as measured by a 5% decrease of  OORs A24 reports and reports occurring in the classroom going from 55.7% to 50% of A24 reports and from 45% to 40% of reports occurring in the classrooms.

PRIORITY 3 – ALL STUDENTS HAVE A HIGH-QUALITY ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE 

​

  • By June, 2026, the percentage of students scoring at or above proficiency level 3 or 4 will increase 10% from 50% to 60%, for all students, as measured by NYS Math Exam Results.

PRIORITY 4 – ALL STUDENTS GRADUATE COLLEGE AND CAREER READY AND HAVE A STRONG PLAN AND PATHWAY TO ECONOMIC SECURITY 

​

  • By June 2026, at least 40% of students in grades K–5 will receive direct instruction in STEM and Robotics through integration into the science curriculum and pacing guides.

PRIORITY 5 – ALL DISTRICTS AND SCHOOLS ARE MORE INCLUSIVE AND RESPONSIVE FOR PARENTS AND FAMILIES, INCLUDING HAVING MORE FAMILIES CHOOSE NYC PUBLIC SCHOOLS 

​

  • By June 2026, the percentage of favorable responses for parent involvement in school will increase 5% from 89% to 94%,  for all parents as measured by the 2026 NYC Parent Survey.

​

Attendance Goal:

​

  • By June 2026, the percentage of Chronically Absent Students in grades PK and K will decrease by 5% from 50%  to 45% and 43% to 38%, as measured by the New Visions Chronic Absenteeism Report.

High Quality Inclusive and Accessible Learning for Students with Disabilities Goals
2025 - 2026

By June 2026, to strengthen the quality and implementation of IEPs for all SWDs, we will decrease the percentage of students not making progress towards one or more goals by 5%, from 10% to 5%, as measured by the SESIS Progress Towards Annual Goals report.


By June 2026, to strengthen the quality and implementation of IEPs for all SWDs, we will decrease the rate of initial referrals by 1.9% , from 4.3% to 2.4%, as measured by the Shared Path Dashboard.
